Postponed Grief
Jacqueline Werket is a certified grief recovery specialist, former nurse practitioner, and author of the Amazon Bestselling book, "A Grief Postponed." Jacqueline lost her toddler son to leukemia in 1971. It wasn't until 10 years later, after the birth of her second child, that she finally realized she had never fully mourned her loss. Once she reached the conclusion that you can't selectively numb yourself, she was able to let the joy back in. Now as a certified grief recovery specialist, she specializes in helping others do the same.

Jacqueline Werket has over three decades of experience in the medical field. She is a retired nurse practitioner who dedicated her career to primary care, hospice, palliative care, and mental health/substance use disorder. She is a certified GEO I energy healer and practices Qi Gong.
Armed with a master’s degree in nursing from the University of Minnesota, Jacqueline’s expertise is unmatched. She co-created the Turner Syndrome Society of the United States, serving as its first president, and she is a certified Grief Recovery Method Specialist, showcasing her commitment to helping others navigate their grief.
She is also an Amazon bestselling author for her work on Chapter “XO” in The Book on Love. Her second published work, the memoir, A Grief Postponed: A Nurse Practitioner’s Journey Through Delayed Grief, was published in early 2026.
