The Roseville Competitive Summer Swim Camp is designed for students grades 6-12 who have competitive swim experience. Swimming experience may be from being on the Roseville High School Swim team or another program like a club swim team or the YMCA swim team. Every 1.5 hour practice includes 30 minutes of "dryland" and one hour in the pool. Dryland workouts focus on flexibility, strength and overall athleticism, while swim workouts will focus on endurance, technique and swimming speed. Participants should, at a minimum, be able to complete 100 yards of swimming in two minutes without a break and be able to do land activities like running, jumping, pushups and sit-ups safely. These sessions are a perfect opportunity for competitive swimmers who want to begin the high school season in shape or to bridge the gap between spring and fall sports. Swim Camp will be coached by Michael Richards, RAHS Boys Swimming and former RAHS Girls Swimming and Diving athlete, Greta Wiskus. Students must be registered prior to arriving on the pool deck, payment and registration will not be accepted on the Parkview pool deck or at Parkview Center School.
