Floating Sound BathEvents & CampsFind a tranquil escape in which to calm your stressed nervous system with soothing flotation and a relaxing soundscape. Donette, a fully accredited sound therapist, will gently guide your mind, body, and spirit into a state of rest & repair. Stay cozy and dry on a thick, inflatable air mattress as your mind and body drift weightlessly. Bring a blanket and pillow for ultimate comfort! FAQs: How will I be floating? Each participant will be floating on a twin-sized air mattress, which is quite thick and floats you above the water, rather than partly in the water. How will I get on and off the mattress? Staff will be holding your air mattress firmly against the side of the pool so that you can gently slide onto it from the pool's edge, likely staying completely dry in the process. Staff will then hand you any items you need, before you are set adrift. Will I get wet? It is quite unlikely that you will get wet; however it is possible. There is a small chance that you could experience a very small splash, and a very outside chance you could fall in. What if I can't swim? If you would feel safer staying to the shallow end of the pool, please notify staff before getting onto your mattress, and your mattress will be kept at the shallow end of the pool. What should I wear? You may choose to wear whatever you feel most comfortable in, and something that is OK to get wet, on the unlikely event that you get splashed or fall in. If you want to play it safe, pack a change of dry clothes, just in case. Ex: Layers of wicking yoga or athletic clothes with the option to remove layers to shorts and short sleeves, as it can get pretty warm in the pool area. Please remove shoes before going on to the pool deck. Socks are just fine, but may get wet as you get in/out. Please avoid clothing with snaggy details such as zipper back pockets, to avoid damaging the air mattress. What should I bring? This experience is all about being cozy, so it is highly suggested to bring a light blanket or beach towel (or two). You can also bring a rolled up towel or small pillow to support your neck. Only bring items you are OK with getting in chlorinated water, just in case. You may also desire an eye mask or weighted eye pillow. It is also suggested to bring a plastic bag, on the off chance you need to bring home any wet items. What if I bump into someone else? You will be gently drifting around the pool throughout the sound bath, and it's fairly likely that at some point your mattress will gently bump into another. That's OK, and part of the experience. But it's most likely that you will never really even notice. Pool Expectations: No one will be allowed in the swimming area unless the pool is officially open, and a lifeguard is on duty. Swimming without a Ready-To-Rescue Lifeguard present on deck is prohibited. Running, rough play, dunking, wrestling, or other improper conduct causing undue disturbances on or about the pool area or any acts which would endanger any patron are prohibited.
