Autumn Mexican DessertsCommunity and Cultural ExplorationSpice up the season with an autumn-themed Mexican cooking class designed specifically for kids! This hands-on, engaging experience teaches young chefs how to create authentic, kid-friendly Mexican dishes from scratch—incorporating festive fall ingredients like chocolate, warm cinnamon and vanilla, and favorites like pumpkin and freshly baked breads. This enrichment class is offered in partnership with our school-age care program, Friendship Connection, which helps us keep costs low while providing engaging before- and after-school opportunities. Students participating in these classes will check in with Friendship Connection, receive a snack, and enjoy a brief recess before class begins. As part of our commitment to equity and access, each school receives one free enrichment class. These classes are designed to increase participation for students at the hosting school, particularly those who may not otherwise have the financial means to participate in enrichment programming.
