Enjoy spending time with your child and experience the wonder of light. Light is all around us and children are curious and fascinated by all the different kinds of light they experience. We will learn all about light and help children develop language and literacy as they name and describe different kinds of light, math skills as they count lights and experiment with light and shadows. We'll explore all areas of development in this class, especially for children in their first year of life (and their parents/caregivers). Each week we will have activities to support a development area, such as physical, gross and fine motor, language, cognitive, social/emotional and more! We will participate in activities with our infants and toddlers that support learning and growth in these areas and learn more about how parents and caregivers can support learning at home. Each week, you and your child will experience a children’s book by Eric Carle. We will have opportunities to create crafts, enjoy activities and play literacy games that support the theme of the book. This class will help lay the groundwork for a love of reading by participating in read-alouds of Brown Bear, Brown Bear, Who Do You See, The Very Hungry Caterpillar and more! This is a non-separating class. Ages 2-5 years as of the class start date.

This class is for toddlers and two-year-olds (ages 12-30 months). Explore the classroom activities with your child and enjoy circle time with songs and books! Parents will meet for a discussion on a variety of topics relevant to this stage of growth and development. This is a gradually-separating class. Ages 12-30 months as of class start date.
