CPR/AED/First Aid (9:00 AM - 2:00 PM): This class combines CPR, AED and First Aid Training into one convenient session. Lay Responder CPR/AED with First Aid teaches the skills necessary to recognize and provide immediate care for breathing problems, cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until medical personnel arrive. Participants will be certified by the American Red Cross for: Standard First Aid and CPR/AED for adults, children and infants. This course meets the Rule 2 and 3 requirements for childcare providers. Intended Audience: Teachers, Daycare Providers, Coaches, Office Workers, new parents, or anyone who wants or needs to learn the life-saving skills of CPR and are not a healthcare professional (healthcare professionals are required to take the more advanced BLS Healthcare Provider CPR course). Feel free to bring a lunch or snack. Registration for all class sessions closes 3 days before the start date. Ethiopian/Eritrean food is light, healthy and flavorful. It can range from a little spicy to very mild, and from meat to vegetarian- friendly. Discover new cooking techniques, exotic spices and ways to easily pair them with your daily ingredients like beans, lentils and vegetables, meat sautéed with flavored butter, ghee and healthy oils. Bring containers to take home leftovers. This is a hands-on cooking class. $20 supply fee payable to instructor the night of class. Spring into Spanish with Vamos con las Celebraciones – a LIVE virtual class. Students explore spring and summer vocabulary through songs, games, and cultural traditions from Spanish-speaking countries. Topics include greetings, colors, weather, nature, clothing, and holidays like Valentine’s Day, Semana Santa, and Independence Day. Kids practice simple conversations while having fun. No prior Spanish experience required—just curiosity and a love of fun!
