Nothing can beat homemade tamales. They are delicious and fun to make. Particularly during the holiday season, friends and family gather to assemble tamales. It is a magical moment where we create a memory of the tamales experience. We will be making chicken mole tamales and black bean chipotle tamales. Bring nature indoors in this hands-on after-school art class! In Moss Magic, students will explore the beauty of natural materials as they design and create unique moss art using a variety of colorful and textured mosses, decorative pebbles, and plants. Young artists will learn about composition, texture, color, and design while crafting one-of-a-kind nature-inspired masterpieces. From miniature landscapes to decorative wall art, students will use their creativity to transform simple materials into stunning works of art. This class encourages artistic expression, problem-solving, and an appreciation for the natural world through fun and engaging projects.

We'll explore all areas of development in this class, especially for children in their first year of life (and their parents/caregivers). Each week we will have activities to support a development area, such as physical, gross and fine motor, language, cognitive, social/emotional and more! We will participate in activities with our infants and toddlers that support learning and growth in these areas and learn more about how parents and caregivers can support learning at home.
